Life’s a Birch
The natural papery, shimmery bark of a silver birch tree is perfect for decorating a venue, in fact its so decorative that it can be used bare, either as trees or even just trunks. Birch is ideal for every season with its full foliage in Spring and Summer, bare branches in Autumn and can be sprayed in white or pearlescent paint for a Winter wedding. Not only are these trees a classic, its so easy to create a contemporary feel with a few well shout out touches.
Silver Birch Styling
Due to their delicate branches and foliage, silver birch are ideal to use in number as they do not overpower the venue, whether its a bar wedding, country house wedding or a marquee. They can be dotted around the room to add a floaty, outdoor feel that’s not overpowering, particularly great in a marquee. The trees themselves are versatile in that they can be tall and thin with branches from almost the base or have long slender trunks and a round canopy of branches at the uppermost point. If your venue just isn’t right for this kind of styling, what about a silver birch wall of trees as a backdrop. Very fashionable at the moment are the silver birch trunks in containers, these add a very stylish look at a more contemporary wedding or event.
Sharp Dressed Man
Whilst some grooms or brides may not be able to get excited when it comes to all wedding things ‘fluffy’, we know from experience at Trees by Design that men especially just love a tree and usually the bigger the better! I think this is where the silver birch comes into it’s own in that it isn’t ‘blousy’ and full on, in fact it’s the opposite, it has confidence, its understated and yet stylish. Like a sharp dressed man!
